Mr. Walter Andrew Parker, Sr. 77, a resident of  Autaugaville, Alabama passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 from Greater Saint Joseph AME Church, 224 South Pickett Street  Autaugaville, Alabama with Rev. James Jackson Pastor, and Rev. Joseph Howard Officiating.  Burial to follow at Walter Jones Cemetery Autaugaville, Alabama.

Walter Andrew "Bruh" (Parker Sr. (Pops) transitioned peacefully away at (Baptist Medical Center South Hospital in Montgomery, AL on August 3, 2017.

Walter “Bruh " Parker was born to the late John W. Parker and Alice (Fisher) Parker who both preceded him in death. He attended Autauga County Training School and began work at Gilmore Ford in (Prattville. He was formally united in matrimony to (Bessie Lee

(Parker to which three sons were born: (Ray (Earnestine) (Parker (Millbrook, AL), Walter (Connie) Parker (Autaugaville, AL), and Kenneth Parker (deceased) and one step-daughter Tara Lashanda Parker (Autaugaville, AL): He later moved away to Baltimore, Maryland where he met a devoted friend, Ms. Sharica Noble (deceased) to which two kids was born Desmond (Latonya Harris) Parker (Autaugaville, AL) and (Paris Marie (Draper Carter) Parker (Eclectic AL).

He was preceded in death by 6 sisters: Jean (Joe) Earle, Voncile (Freddie) Howard, Emma (Elijah) Matthews, Eddie Lou (James) Steele all of Autaugaville, AL; Annie Mae Houser (Detroit MI) and Ollie (Charles) Wallace of Baltimore, MD and one grandson Michael Sanders.

He leaves to cherish his memory 3 sisters Shirley Mae (Lewis) Sullen (Montgomery, AL) Carrie Lee Williamson (Baltimore, MD), Johnnie Mae King (Autaugaville, AL), 4 grandchildren: Temeka Parker (Millbrook, AL), Tyeisha (Maurice) Friday (Augusta, GA), Meriah Leigh Parker (Atlanta, GA) Markell DeVon (Parker (Millbrook, AL), Desma Parker (Prattville, AL), 4 great-grands Aja, Marcel, 'Tahj, and Raelyn Friday. He also leaves a host of nieces and nephews.

Walter "Bruh " Parker moved back to Autaugaville later in life where he served as an honorable member of the Church of Christ in Prattville. He was always there for those who needed him. He never  forgot the title "UncIe Bruh" which he carried in relation to his nieces and nephews. His friends were never strangers, which are demonstrated in the nickname that was given to him as Mr. Pull-A Part.
