Ms. Teneisha Raelene Jones, 32, a resident of Millbrook, Alabama passed away Friday, September 15, 2017.  Funeral services will be held Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11am from Prattville Memorial Chapel and Memory Garden, 814 Fairview Ave Prattville, AL with Rev. Jerry Giles officiating.  Cremation services will be held at Brookside Crematorium at a later date.

Teneisha Raelene Jones was born September 18, 1986 in Chula Vista, California. She passed away September 15, 2017; leaving behind a loving mother, Margaret Walker Jones, father, Timothy Jones, and two brothers Mondez Thompson (Teri Thompson) and Byron Jones both of Millbrook Alabama and one sister Shana Shell, Atlanta, Georgia. She also left behind two nieces Amaya Thompson and Mariyah Thompson, two nephews Celeb Thompson and Adryan Thompson as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

As a young girl, she attended elementary in Las Vegas before moving to Alabama and meeting her best friend Katrina Locke Benante at Stanhope Elmore High School. She went on to attend Auburn University at Montgomery and graduated at the top of her class with a Master's Degree in Business Administration.

While attending college Teneisha discovered a passion for the roller derby and joined her first team the Burn City Rollers, where she assumed the alias Dame. Saying that she excelled in all that she did was an understatement. She excelled not only at school and on the rink but she also used her talents to start a successful online business called Candy Coppella; selling beautiful handmade jewelry, though Etsy.

After moving to Birmingham to work for Infinity Insurance, as the Senior Software Engineer, Teneisha continued to skate but for a different team, the Tragic City Rollers. She even made the Alabama Allstar roller derby team. She had just begun her work with eSolution Architects on Gunter AFB a few days before her unfortunate and sudden demise.

Teneisha was spunky, goofy, and charismatic. She had a smile that lit up a room and a laugh that you could not help but to laugh with her. She also had a heart of pure gold and gave all of herself to those she loved. To know Teneisha was to love Teneisha. She will be sorely missed not only by her kindred family and her derby family but by all that were blessed enough to meet her. She has touched the hearts of all that she knew. She will continue to stay in our hearts until we meet her again.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. May the words of Christ Jesus be of comfort to you which he states that all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. We are also comforted by God's promise to wipe away the tears of sorrow from our eyes forever and to swallow up death forever.
