Miss Algen Wiliams, age 66, a resident of Prattville, Alabama passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 at her residence.  Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11am from New Jericho Missionary Baptist church, 309 County Road 29 Prattville, Alabama with Rev. Robert Thornton, Pastor and Rev. Steven Garrett officiating.  Burial to follow at New Jericho Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.


Ms. Algen Williams was born on July 5, 1951 to the late Mrs. Mary Meredith Williams and the late Mr. Algie Rawlinson in Autauga County.  She daparted this life at the early age of 66 on Monday, March 5, 2018.

She confessed Christ at an early age and joined the New Exodus Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her death.  She was employed by Autauga County Board of Education for 35 years at the Prattville Primary School.

Miss  Williams is proceeded in death by one brother, Rev. Roy E. Williams, Jr. ; two aunts Juanita Cooks and Susie E. Foster; two uncles Horace Meredith, Robert Meredith and three cousins , Hardy Cooks, Jr. Harry and Freddie Cooks.

She leaves many loved ones to celebrate her memories; one son Richard L. Williams and grandson, Richard L. Jackey-Williams, II, both of Louisville, KY; two sisters, Ella Mae (Charlie) Smith, Shirley ( JB,Jr.) Wallace of Prattville, Alabama; one sister-in-law, Emma J. Williams and one aunt Shirley Meredith, both of Prattville, Alabama.

She also leave to cherish her memories to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, along with three loving and caring friends, Jeanette Jackson, Pam Gardner, Denise Reese and a special niece, Cassandra Thomas.
