A TIME TO BE BORN:
Brother Bobby "Butch McGhee was born to the late Deacon Willie James McGhee, Sr. and Sister Annie McGhee on June 28, 1943 in Elmore County, Alabama.
A Time To Build Up:
Bobby married Mary Lee McGhee and they were united for over 55 years. He confessed Christ at an early age and united with the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, Millbrook, Alabama and was baptized by the late Reverend A. H. Longmire. Later, the family membership moved to Abraham Missionary Baptist Church, Millbrook, Alabama where Bobby served as a member of the Board of Trustees. Many years later, he joined his family and became a member of the Goodship Missionary Baptist Church, Millbrook, Alabama under the pastorate of the late Reverend M. H. Parker, Sr. Bobby was a member of the Goodship Male Chorus where he served faithfully until his health failed. Bobby's work ethic was strong. He was employed at Montgomery Food Processing and Elmore Sand and Gravel. He was a lifelong member of the Esther's of America Society #1. He was a member of the Millbrook Male Chorus for countless years.
Bobby was preceded in death by; his father and mother : Deacon Willie James McGhee, Sr. and Sister Annie McGhee; one granddaughter: tiaria McGhee; five brothers: Willie James, Jr., Lonza, Charlie, and John Willie.
A TIME TO DIE:
God dispatched the Heavenly Angels to release the soul of Bobby and to bring home to live eternally on October 11, 2019.
A TIME TO MOURN:
Bobby leaves to treasure his memories a loving and devoted wife: Mary Lee McGhee; five daughters: Darlene, Barbara (Leonard) Dunya, and Venice; three sisters: Eartha Mae, Mary (Terry), and Willie Mae; three brothers: Harvey (Mary) David (Jeanetta), and Michael; seven grandchildren: Derrick, Bobby Jr. Keosha, Rontavious, Megel, O'donald, and Donaniquia; ten great-grandchildren: Camille, Darriya, Ke'myiah, Meleah, Rya, Addison, Raisley, Justin, and Rose; a devoted nephew: Emille; four sisters-in-law Velma, Annie Bea, Nellie, and Sadie; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
