Cynthia Waldroup was born to the late Hattie Pearl Harmon and Taylor McKeithen on December 27, 1957. She attended service at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.
Cynthia has taught in both the Autaugaville and Prattville High School system. She later moved to Chicago, IL where she continued her education. She graduated from Kennedy King Junior College in 1994 with a degree iin nursing. She returned to school a short time later at Carnellas Cosmetology School graduating with a degree. Cynthia also went to Olive-Harvey Junior College to purse and obtained a real estate license.
Cynthia ran her home health care business (Smith Nursing Service) and her own beauty salon (Zephyr II Beauty Salon ) in Chicago, IL simultaneously for more than 25 years. She was the owner of Geeter's II Restaurant in Shorter, AL as well as Cynthia's Restaurant in Prattville, AL. She was employed from 2007-2018 with DaVita Dialysis in Montgomery, AL.
She was in death by her loving son Eugene D. Gilliam, brothers Larry Harmon & Emanuel Harmon, a loving aunt Minnie Lee Harmon.
She is survived by husband Hulbert Waldroup, Sr.; sons Kennya J. (Latanya Boyd) Harmon, Rashaud Waldroup, and Christopher Waldroup. Daughters; Charlotte Willis & Kristie Hatch. Step Children, Derrick, Lisa, Regina, Hulbert Jr. and Kerwin Waldroup. Brothers, Calvin (Ada) Harmon, Taylor III (Cassandra) McKeithen and Anthony McKeithen of Birminham, AL; Marvin (Emma) Rudloph of Millbrook, AL, and Willie (Mary) Motley of Prattville, AL. Sister, Maxine Gatson of Chicago, IL, sister-in-law Janice Harmon, Beulah Harmon of Montgomery, AL. Uncles, Willie McKeithen of Montgomery, AL, and Mary Howard of Prattville, AL. Grandchildren, Kenjay Harmon, Cassandra Harmon, Lakenya Harmon, Nyiah Walker, Tymilam Sanders, Jamila Sanders, Carmelo Harmon, Terrina Hatch, Jalia Moore, and Shakerry Brown. Great grandchild, Cameron Waldroup. Special cousins, the Nicie Steele Family and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
