Ms. Jessie Bell Smith age 92 a resident of Prattville , Alabama passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Prattville Health and Rehabilitation.  Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11am from Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2738 Highway 82 West Prattville, Alabama with Rev. Jeff Hesterman, Pastor officiating.  Burial to follow at Smith-DeRamus Cemetery, County Road 40 West Prattville, Alabama.

On February 17, 2019, God dispatched an angel and said "servant, well done".  Jessie Bell Smith was born July 26, 1926 to the late Nord and Charlotte Smith , who both preceded her in death.  She was the oldest of ten children.  She became a child of Christ at an early age and was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church until her death.  She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Lillie Mae Smith, brothers Lorenzo Smith, Nord Smith Jr., Jesse Smith, Albert Smith and her sister Caroline Goodson.

Jessie B. Smith leaves to cherish her memories, three children, Rosetta Smith, Edward Smith and Willie Smith; all of Prattville, AL; three sisters, Lottie Wilson, VelmaBush and Irene McKenzie; all of Anniston, AL; one brother, Otis (Ruby) smith of Flint, MI; seven grandchildren, Diane Ray) Caver, Ashley Smith, and Clarence (Keisha) smith of Prattville, AL; Michael (Shelia) Smith of Montgomery, AL, Edward (Brina) Goodson, and Erica James of Prattville, AL; and Aisha Goodson of Montgomery, AL.  She also leaves nine great grandgrandchildren, ahost of nieces, nephews and other family members.
