Mr. Tony Davis, Jr. age 92 a resident of Autaugaville, Alabama passed away Monday, May 20, 2019. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 2pm from First Missionary Baptist Church, 335 North Pickett Autaugaville, Alabama with Rev. Woodie L. Melton, Pastor officiating. Burial to follow at Walter Jones Cemetery, Pickett Mill Road Autaugaville, Alabama with Military Honors and Patroit Guard Riders.

A Time to be born:
Deacon Tony Davis Jr, III a resident of Autaugaville, Alabama was born January 1, 1927 (age 92), the fifth child to the late Mr. Tony Davis II and Mrs. Hattie Hall Davis.
A Time to Serve:
Deacon Davis gave his life to Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church, Autaugaville, AL and continued his dedicated service there until the end. He was a trusted Deacon; past Chairman of Deacon Board; past Superintendent of Sunday school ; choir member; held several positions of the North Dallas District Association and a trusted poll worker many years beginning during the Cvil Rights Movement. Live your life so that your epitaph reads: " No Regrets".
A Time to Learn and Earn:
Deacon Davis attended and graduated from the Autauga County Training School and St. Judge Educational Institute. He is a proud World War II Veteran- U. S. Army. Other employments included: Autauga County Sheriff Department; Continental Gin Shop; and Autauga County School as a Bus driver. He was a past Worship Master and present member to the Autaugaville Prince Hall Lodge #960.
A Time to Love:
Deacon Tony Davis married the love of his life, Mrs. Nelma Louise Houser Davis on September 10, 1948. They treasured that loving bond till the end. To this union of holy matrimony for seventy years, three sons and four daughters wete born.
A Time to Mourn:
Seven children: Lorenzo (Chris) Davis; Carolyn (Willie) Morrast; Linda (Eddie) Love; Janice (the late Robert) Cameron; Tony Jr. IV; Anita Davis-Johnson and Ellie Louis Davis; Seventeen (17) grands; 23 great grands; one great-great grand; one loving sister-inlaw: Elizabeth B. Davis; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to the family members listed, Deacon Davis leaves an extended family of cousins, ministers, church members, Lodge #960 Masonic brothers and Eastern Star sisters; Society members, community members and other relatives and friends including treasured neighbors.
