Mr. Willie James Austin "Sam" age 58 a resident of Prattville, Alabama passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Baptist Medical South Montgomery, Alabama.  Funeral service will be Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 12pm from New Lilly Green Baptist Church, 6504 Deatsville Highway Deatsvill, Alabama with Rev. Leonard James , Pastor officiating.  Burial  to follow at New Lilly Green Baptist Church Cemetery.

Willie James Austin, affectionately known as "Sam" was born to the late Henry Austin Sr. and Janie Ella Lewis Austin.  He is preceded in death by his brothers Henry Austin Jr., Johnny Lee Austin, Louis Emory Austin, and sisters Mary Jane Austin and Jeanette Austin Peden.  He is survived by his brother Willie Austin Sr. and sisters Henrietta Austin Frazier and Barbara Jean Austin Steele.  Two devoted nephews; Ronald Steele and Derrick Marvin. Aunts; Mattie MaeThomas (Steve, dec), Cornelia Lewis (Jessie, dec.) (Prattville, AL); Annie Mae (Lieutenant) Johnson, and Emma Jean Clark (Johnny, dec.)  (Tampa, FL).  A host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.  Many friends, especially Mr. Davis of Davis Funeral Home.  A heartfelt thank you to the staff of Baptist South NICU.
