Mrs. Mae Neal Jackson Steele, 87, a resident of Autaugaville, Alabama passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017.   Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 12:30pm from New Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church ,  Autaugaville, Alabama with Pastor Leon Palmer  Officiating.  Burial to follow at Big Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Statesville, Alabama.

Mrs. Mae Neal Steele passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. She was surrounded by family and friends at her grandson 's (Freddie, Jr.) and granddaughter's (Ola Bell) home in Prattville, Alabama at the age of 87; after her battle with Alzheimer’s and other health complication was called to end by God.

Mae Neal was born January 1, 1930 to the late Wiley and Cora Lee Jackson. She joined Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church in her youth; where she was a member until her death. She attended school until 11th grade. She was a devoted wife to the late Charlie Steele, a loving mother to the late Freddie Jackson all of Autaugaville, Alabama; a hard worker and a woman who always spoke her mind.

Mae Neal was preceded in death by one son, Freddie, and one daughter, Ola Bell, one grandson, Shermon (Buckwheat)Jackson, one brother, Wiley Jackson, Jr., and three sisters, Lucille (Rubin) Groomster, Ethel (Julius) Lamar, and Otis (Jim Henry) Sanders.

She leaves to cherish her memories: five loving and devoted grandchildren, Freddie (Doretha) Jackson Il, Ola Bell Jackson (Roderikus) Richard, Prattville, Alabama; Cedric T. Jackson, Montgomery, Alabama; Lasundra E. Palmer, Autaugaville, Alabama; and Antonio Jackson, Prattville, Alabama; fourteen loving great-grandchildren, DeAndre Jackson, Marquez Jackson, Demetrius Jackson and Joseph Jackson, all of Prattville, Alabama; Timothy Jackson, Montgomery, Alabama; Kayla Jackson, Autaugaville, Alabama; Brianna

Jackson, Prattville, Alabama; Xavier Jackson, Autaugaville, Alabama; Emmanuel Frazier, Joshunta Frazier, Jonquitta Frazier, Ella Pettway, Prattville, Alabama; Teshia Smith and Kamden Jackson both of Elmore, Alabama; one precious great-great grandchild, Nevaeh Jackson, Prattville, Alabama; a host of nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.
