Mrs. Alberdia Brown Davis  a resident of Old Kingston Community Prattville, Alabama passed away Friday, September 15, 2017.

Funeral service will be held Saturday,September 23, 2017 at 12pm from Old Kingston Missionary Baptist Church, 963 County Road 40 West Prattville, Alabama with Rev. Ben Carter, Pastor  officiating.  Burial to follow at Old Kingston Cemetery Prattville, Alabama.  


Alberdia Brown Davis was born on February 21, 1947 to the union of the late Lucy and Frank Brown Sr„ and was peacefully called home from labor to reward on September 15, 2017.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Gladys Zeigler; three brothers, William McKinley Brown, Frank Brown Jr. and Lewis Brown.

A lifelong member of Prattville, Alberdia attended the historic North Highland High School. Quiet, yet very studious, she graduated class valedictorian in 1964.

She was united In Holy matrimony to the love of her life, Luzell Davis for 48 years. To this union one son was born, Darryl T. Davis. A very close-knit family, you rarely saw one without the other. Alberdia took pride in nurturing her son and calling his bride, Carla, her daughter, and watching her granddaughter, Ameltria grow Into a young lady.

She confessed Christ at an early age and was a member of the Old Kingston Missionary Baptist Church where she served and worshipped faithfully until her health prevented her from doing so.

Alberdia was a true example of the Proverbs 31 woman and served God In every aspect of her life. Her gentle and humble spirit was evident for all to see.

She enjoyed assembling jigsaw puzzles, tending her small garden, and absorbing the beauty of God's nature Her love and passion for sewing was not for financial gain, but for the Joy of helping others.

 She leaves to cherish her loving memories, a loving and devoted husband, Luzell Davis; a loving son, Darryl (Carla) Davis; loving brother, Herman Brown; loving granddaughter, Ameltria Tolliver, all from Prattville, AL; sisters In law; Ruby Lee McDowell, Ridgecrest, CA; Josie Dupree, San Bernardino, CA; Mary (Charles) Rouse San Bernardino, CA; brothers In law; Macarthur (Alice) Davis, Prattville, AL; Eddie (Mary) Davis; Ridgecrest, CA; Sammy (Jaqueline) Davis, Ridgecrest, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and her Old Kingston Church family
