Miss Maxine Dukes age 46 a resident of Autaugaville, Alabama passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018.  Funeral service will be held Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 2:30pm from Greater Saint Joseph AME Church, 224 South Pickett Street Autaugaville, Alabama with Rev. Grandville R. Anderson, III - Pastor and Rev. Geno Tolver, Pastor officiating.  Burial to follow at Walter Jones Cemetery Pickett Mill Road Autaugaville, Alabama. 


Maxine Dukes  was born December 29, I971 in Tuskegee, Alabama, to Joyce Ann Dukes the late Willie Lee Dukes.

Maxine accepted Christ at an early age and joined Greater Saint Joseph A.M.E Church.

On Tuesday, January 23, 2018, God's angel closed the eyes of Maxine Dukes and whispered "Peace Be Thine"   taking her to her heavenly home.

Maxine is preceded in death by her father Willie Lee  Dukes, uncles Robert Houser and Otis Houser, grandfather Butcher Houser and grandmother Sadie  Houser.

Maxine received her education from Autaugaville High School and graduate in 1991.

Maxine leaves to cherish her memories: her mother Joyce Dukes; three brothers, Willie (Tomiko) Dukes of El Paso, Texas, Frederick (Tuesday) Dukes of Prattville, Alabama and Larry Dukes of Autaugaville Alabama; seven nieces and nephews Romello, Micah, and  Sarah, of El Paso, Texas; Brandon, Jeremy, Ania and Jederion, all of Prattville, AL; and a host of aunts, uncles cousins and friends.
