Mrs. Ethel Mae Smith Manora-Burt , age 62, a resident of Prattville, Alabama passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center South.  Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 1pm from Lily Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 315 Old Farm Lane Prattville, Alabama with Rev. Otto Thomas, Pastor officiating.  Burial to follow at Springhill Cemetery, Jensen Road Prattville, Alabama.


Mrs. Ethel Mae Smith Manora-Burt was born January 9, 1956 in Elmore County to the late Willie Lee and Everlina Smith .  

Ethel confessed Christ at an early age at  Lily Hill Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Albert Smith.

Ethel was loving and giving person, often putting others before herself.

She was faithful servant in the house of the Lord.  Working in multiple ministries at  Lily Hill MBC.  Through her 62 years journey on this earth, she touched so many lives that were dear to her heart.

Mrs. Ethel was proceeded in death by her son : Deljuan Smith, Sr. ; her parents: Willie and Everlina Smith; brother: Willie James Smith; maternal grandparents: Walter and Alberta Anderson;  and ten aunts and nine uncles.

She leaves to cherish her many fond special memories a loving and devoted husband; Stanley Burt; a son: Tony A. Smith, Jr. ; two daughters: Angela R. Smith and Shantelle ( DeAnjou ) Johnson; three granddaughters; Semetria Smith and Za'Kihya Johnson ( all of Prattville, AL) , and Aria Rivers ( Montgomery, AL): five grandsons: Dejuan Smith, Jr. (Montgomery, AL), JaKeveon Johnson, DelMarion Smith, Zackeus Smith, and King D. smith (Prattville, AL); her special family whom she loved so much: Skip, Charlann, John David, and Leigh Jones (Prattville, AL)., six special God daughters: Mary Smith, Alicia Smith, Ja'Neka Smith and Talicia Smith (all of Prattville, AL), Mary Blanche (Millbrook, AL),  and Dawanda (DeeDee) Legette (Tampa, FL): seven sisters: Freddie Mae Hurbert ( Chicago, IL), Shirley (Bobby) Pernell, Irene Smith (Millbrook, AL)  Diane Smith, Patricia D. Smith, JoAnne (Shade) Reese (Prattville, AL), and Evelina Jackson (Montgomery, AL); five brothers: Rufus (Carolyn  Smith), Mitchell ( Dorothy) Smith, William Smith, Aaron Smith, and Tommie Smith ( all of Prattville, AL) ; mother-in-law: Catherine Mitchell (Prattville, AL),  eight sisters-inlaw: Sharon Hunter, Debra (Frank ) Woods, Lynn Burt, and Beverly (Elbert) Underwood (all of Prattville, AL), Veronica Brown (Birmingham, AL), Scherika (Cornelius ) Loyd (Montgomery, AL), Carolyn (Clemon ) Tyus-Crum, and Eunice (Freddie ) Jackson (both of Detroit, MI); seven brothers-in-law: Leroy Mitchell, Kenny Mitchell, and Marcus Burt (Prattville, AL), Von Wilbert (Rose) Burt, Sr. ( Columbus, GA), Bruce Mitchell ( Atlanta, GA); Paul Tyus and Alvin (Judy) Tyus (Detroit, MI ); four aunts: Mary Lou Smith (Prattville, AL), Leola Anderson (Millbrook, AL), Mary (Glenn) Ball (Wetumpka, AL), Emma Hannon (Louisville, KY); special cousins: Priscilla Palmore, Patricia A. Smith, Barbara Burt, Thelma Nixon, Debra Hare, Cynthia Tucker, and Parthenia Bates; three special friends Daphney Cain, Sheila Thomas, Demetric Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and her devoted friends of the Independent Ladies Social and Savings Club (Prattville, AL).

Please accept my deepest sympathies for the loss of your dear loved one. May the true God watch over your family during this most grievous time. May you find comfort from the words found in John 5:28,29.
