Mrs. Prevella Chappell, age 78 a resident of Autaugaville, Alabama passed away Friday, April 13, 2018.    Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 12pm from Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 1674 County Road 40 West Prattville, Alabama with Rev. John F. Clay, Pastor and Rev. Nathaniel Brown, Pastor officiating.    Burial to follow at  Walter Jones Cemetery, Pickett Mill Road, Autaugaville, Alabama.


Mrs. Prevella Chappell known to most as "Big Mama" entered into this world on June 17, 1940.  Born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam and Lucy B. Frazier.  She departed this earthly life on Friday, April 13, 2018 and journeyed into eternal rest with jesus.

She accepted Christ at an early age and faithfully attended and served at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.  She served diligently on these church auxilliaries; President of the Usher Board, President of the Senior Choir, President of the Missionary Committee, Chairman of the Pastor's Aid Ministry as well as the Kitchen Ministry.

"Big Mama" was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Wiley Chappell, Sr. and unto this union five children were born.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Samuel Frazier, Jr. and two sisters, Mary Ida Wimbush and Beulah Lee Houser.

"Big Mama" leaves to cherish her precious fond memories five children; Clarence (Olivia) Chappell of Autaugaville, Alabama; Tammy C. (Grailen) Motley, Wiley (Shiela) Chappell of Prattville, Alabama; Dale (Demetruis) Chappell of Montgomery, Alabama; and Keith (Jewell) Chappell of Autaugaville, Alabama; one brother; Joe Frazier, Montgomery, Alabama, One sister; Voncile Frazier, of Autaugaville, Alabama, one sister-inlaw; Ethel Kate Frazier, of Chattanooga, Tennessee; including five step children; seventeen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends; two special friends more like sisters; Mrs. Annie B. Tyus and Ms. Velma Broadnax.

Mrs. Pre will truly be missed. She was a wonderful person inside out.
