Miss Susie Ann Smith age 70, a resident of Prattville, Alabama passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at her residence.  Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 2pm from Bethlehem CME Church, 103 West 6TH Street Prattville, Alabama with Rev. Sam Gordon III, Pastor officiating.  Burial to follow at Smith-DeRamus Cemetery, County Road 40 West Prattville, Alabama

The Obituary

Miss Susie A. Smith was born April 25, 1948 to the late Sylvester and Annie Lou Smith.  She was one of the first black to integrate the Autauga County High School in 1966.  Upon graduating from the Autauga County High School , she then attended Trenholm Trade School, in Montgomery, Alabama.  She was employed by the FBI in Washington, DC and later retired from the Metroplitan Police Department in 2003 after 35 years of faithful service.  

She is proceeded in death by two brother, Jessie Smith and Roosevelt Smith, and leaves to mourn her brother Charles (Rita) Smith; sisters; Annie Lee Smith of Montgomery, Alabama; Mary Dean Leslie of Prattville, Alabama; Margaret Reese of Detroit, Michigan.  She also leaves to cherish her memories, nine nieces and nephews, ten great nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
