Mr Willie L. Cyrus age 77, a resident of Autaugaville, Alabama passed away Monday, July 16, 2018  peacefully at his residence surrounded by Family and friends.  Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 2pm from Greater Saint Joseph AME Church, 224 South Pickett Street Autaugaville, Alabama with Rev. Grandville Anderson, Pastor and Rev George M. Cyrus,      Pastor of  Pleasant Hill and New Mount Zion AME Church Prattville, Alabama officiating.  Burial to follow at Walter Jones Cemetery, 2314 Pickett Mill Road Autaugaville, Alabama.

 For The Late Willie Louis Cyrus

Mr.Willie Louis Cyrus was born April 4, 1941 in Autauga County to the late Sadie Motley and Julius Cyrus.  He was preceded in death by his mother Sadie  and father Julius Cyrus, sisters Sadie Motley, Dorothy Jean Lee and brothers Lawrence Motley, Depreshes Cyrus & James E. Cyrus.

He confessed Christ at an early age after joining Greater Saint Joseph AME Church and was an active member of the church, serving as a Trustee.  He remained an active member until he became ill and could no longer attend.

Willie graduated from Autauga County Training School.  After graduating he began to work at Crystal Lake Manufacturing in which he worked there for a total of 41 years.

Willie Cyrus departed life on July 16th, 2018 at his home.  He leaves to cherish his memories a wife of 52 years, Mrs. Bettye L. Cyrus.  He and Bettye have two daughters, Cassandra (Martin) Jackson of Virginia Beach, VA and Latanya Cyrus of Autaugaville.  Of these two children they have two granddaughter's  to include Jasmin Jackson of Virginia Beach, VA and Boladiya Walker of Autaugaville, AL.  He has three brothers Julius (Gloria) Cyrus Jr. ofBrooklyn New York, George (Mary) Motlley of Autaugaville, Nathanial Motley of Massachusetts, also Thomas (Marie) Durden of Kentucky, Michael (Danneter) Durden of Autaugaville, AL.  He  has one sister Felicia Brooks of Montgomery, AL.
