Mr. James Earl Rawlinson, Sr. "Shang" age 71, a resident of Prattville, Alabama passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at Jackson Hospital Montgomery, Alabama.  Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 1pm from Locust Bluff United Methodist Church, 2110 Alternate County Road 21 North Prattville, Alabama with Rev. Michael Abrams, Pastor officiating.  Burial to follow at Locust Bluff United Methodist Church Cemetery with Military Honors.  The body of  Mr. Rawlinson will be accompanied by the Patriot Guard Riders.  (It is an honor and privilege for the Patriot Guard Riders to honor the families of our fallen military Veterans).  "Riding with Respect" ........The Patriot Guard Riders.


James Earl Rawlinson, Sr., son of the late Maldo Stoudemire-Rawlinson and Henry Rawlinson, Jr. was born March 19, 1947 in Autauga county, Alabama.  James is preceded in death by his brother Mulazim Rahmah.  He accepted Christ at an early age at Locust Bluff United Methodist Church, where he remained a member until passing.  James life's journey ended on July 16, 2018, surrounded by love from his family.  He attended Autaugaville Grade School in the early years of his education, and later moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he graduated from Glennville High School.  James then joined the UnitedStates Army in October 17, 1967 to October 18, 1969.  After serving his two year term, he then attended both Westside Technical Institute and Mac Haze Technical College where he received an associate degree from both.  James was also a 33rd degree Mason.  Later on, in life he became the owner of his own construction company "Mac and Shane."  And he also had a passion for farming.

James leaves to cherish his memories, his first born son Troy (Sally) Myers.  He later married Connie, who preceded him in death, to this union one son was born Mikheal Rawlinson,  After divorcing Connie, James conceived a daughter Jamie Towns, and following he married Sharonda, and from this union two children were born Keyanna Rawlinson and James Rawlinson II.  He was also leaves behind six siblings, four sisters: Mary (Lindsey) Wright of Prattville, AL, Anita (William Sr.) Houser; Yandor (Curtis) Wright both from Cleveland, OH, and Hilda Stewart of Chicago, IL, and two brothers Albert (Annie) Rawlinson, Green L. Rawlinson both from Cleveland, OH, sister-in-law Safiyya Rahmah: Chicago, IL: nine grandchildren: Sierra, Serenity, Mykhia, Ethan, Latrice, Kira, James III, Jacob, and Jamieson, and three great grandchildren.  One Aunt Rurhie Lee Stoudemire, devoted cousin Hazell Stoudemire, devoted brother-in-law Lindsey Wright and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
