                                                                                     The Life

De'Rico Tierre Houser was born on September 20, 1978 at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, AL to Ms. Cathy Houser and Mr. Richard Earl Goodson, Sr.

He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Prattville, AL.  He was educated in the Prattville School System until the end of his junior high school year after which he enrolled and graduated in 1996 from Woodlawn Magnet High School in Birminham, AL.  Later that year he enlisted with the United States Army where he traveled the world; including places such as Germany, Dubai and three tours to Iraq and Afghanistan.   He was Honorably Discharged in 2013.

"Rico", as he was affectionately called by many, was very much a family-oriented man.  He loved working and spending time with his family and friends.  A wonderful Father, Son, Cousin and Friend, he was the most dependable friend a person could ask for;  you could call day or night and he would come.  He was quiet, didn't bother anyone, disliked confrontation and never had a fight with anyone.  He never raised his voice!

He was married to Chaka S. Montgomery in August 2002 and to that union three wonderful children were born.

He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Asberry Goodson, Lizzie and Clem Houser, Sr., aunt Carolyn Lewis, and uncle, Reginald Goodson.

Rico's memories will forever be cherished by his four loving children, Tierre,Kahmari and Niyah Houser, Prattville, AL; and Montana Mitchell, Memphis,TN; devoted parents, Cathy Houser, Montgomery, AL;and Richard Goodson, Jr. (Alice)Goodson, Sr., Huntsville, AL;one brother Richard Goodson, Jr., Millbrook, AL; grandmotherMary Louise Goodson, Prattville, AL; two uncles, Lenward (Pamela) Houser, Union City, CA; and Clem (Kitty) Houser, Jr., Prattville, AL; six aunts, Irma (Nathan) Harris, Diane (Dell) Smith, Montgomery, AL; Margie (Eric) Randle, Crestview, FL; Marilyn (Robert) Frazier, Autaugaville, AL, Misty Goodson, Starkville, MS; Carrie (Clint) Johnson, West Blocton, AL; one great aunt, Juliette Bailey, Birmingham, AL; four great, Rev. My condolences go out to the Houser family and friends. Hopefully, these scriptures at Job 14:14,15 and Revelation 21:3,4 will provide some comfort during your time of loss. Soon those who are alive at this time will be able to say, "Life without end at last!" Imagine the joy we can experience when we see our loved one come back to life and enjoy vibrant health without ever getting sick again. Isaiah 33:24. More information can be found at jw.org
