Mrs. Cynthia Diane Doss Singleton Hargrove age 51, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama passed away Monday, August 20, 2018. A  Memorial Service will be Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 12pm from Rice Temple AOH Church of God, 601 Clayton Street Montgomery, Alabama with Bishop Gregory Cannon, Pastor and Apostle M. Linda Brown Pastor Of EPHOD Family Worship Center Officiating.

Cynthia was born as the head of her generation.  God  chose her perfectly for the position  providing her with the necessary skills to matriculate through life and support those in her path, Strength, courage, and wisdom are a few of many of the qualities building her up as a phenomenal woman.  Her passion and drive to always be of service to others was her best charm and she wore it well.

Cynthia was born to Georgia Ann Singleton and Ray Charles Doss on June 17, 1967 in  Tuskegee, AL.  Willie James Singleton took charge of her life at a young age.  She grew up as a young and self-motivated butterfly attending  All Nations Church of God in Montgomery, AL.  She graduated from Carver High School in  1985.  Shortly after she moved to Columbus, MS,  where she began attending  Smith Chapel CME.  It wasn't  long before she  was directing the choir and  the instructor of the Youth Sunday School Class.  Her dreams began to come true once she attended Mary Holmes College, in West Point, MS, as a patient care tech student.  She was blessed with the opportunity to have a hands on approach at Baptist Memorial Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS.

Upon her return to Montgomery, AL she began working on her Associates in Accounting.  She  was employed with Wal-mart to support her dreams while she completed her coursework.  She graduated from Trenholm Technical College in 2004 and remained at Wal-mart until an opportunity arose for her degree.  The opportunity came when she became Human Resource Manager for her Wal-mart Corporation, #5348.

Her continuous efforts to succeed and drive to always move forward was the foundation her daughters utilizes to fullfill her legacy and their own.  In May 2015, all of Cynthia's biological children graduated along with her granddaughter .  The eldest graduated from Alabama State University on May 09, 2015 with academic honors.  The knee baby graduated from Trenholm Tech on May 16, 2015 with academic honors.  The youngest graduated from high School with plans to attend a medical program on May 16, 2015.  Her granddaughter graduated from Kindergarten may 19, 2016.  Unfortunately a few short months later, she was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension.

As a new member of the Ephod family, under Apostle M. L. Brown, Cynthia was more than equipped to conquer pulmonary hypertension.  She was well loved and cared about.  She received support from her church families, family and close friends over good conversations food, and laughter.  Everyone who loves her fought , pushed, and prayed for her until God called her home on August 20, 2018.  She has reunited with her Grandmother Madear & Daddy Button, Uncle Henry, Donald & Richard, sister Lydia as well as Grandfather Willie Singleton.

As Cynthia celebrates with her late family in heaven, let us miss her whole heartedly and rejoice her home going.  She qaw a beacon of light to anyone who crossed her path.  From her 7 siblings, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews to her friends and coworkers, Cynthia was always a ray of sunshine on a rainy day.  Picture her beautiful hazel eyes and her pearly white smile when you need encouragement venturing throughtout your lives.  Her light will always shine in through our darkness.  For we have only lost her human form and gained an angel.

My sympathy goes out to the Hargrove family and friends. God's word the Bible shows it was not God's original purpose for humans to die, but to live forever on earth in complete peace and happiness. (Genesis 1:27,28) Jesus while on earth promised that there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous. (John 5:28,29) And (Revelation 21:4) shows that in the very near future, death will be no more. Hopefully, these and other scriptures will bring you a measure of comfort during your time of sadness.
