I am very sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you in this difficult time. I hope you may find comfort at Revelation 21:4, “And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” We can look forward to the time when God will take away all reasons for distress and he even gives us a hope of a resurrection. (Acts 24:15) I hope this promise brings you comfort as it does me.

I met Charles when I was 16 and working with my Dad, Carroll Allen, to build Ernest and Omeda Goodson's home. There was a carport full of kids. We went our separate ways and time passed. 50 years later I took Dad back to see the last home he ever constructed and met those same "kids" again , only we were now grown men and women. Charles and I talked about driving in Atlanta. I enjoyed conversing with Charles as adults who  have seen something of the world. Charles passed away the same day as my Dad. I would like to have talked with Charles more. Lives touch, move apart, and sometimes come together again. I rejoice that I met Charles once more. My deepest sympathy and greatest hope in Christ.
