Alethea Melba (Griggs) Hadnott

Melba Griggs Hadnott was born on January 23, 1956, to Nathaniel and Merline Griggs. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Melba departed this life on September 23, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Melba was proceeded in death by her mother and father, her two sisters Rena Thermon and Francis Anderson, two brothers Roger and Joseph Griggs and her two grandsons Keonte Griggs and Wanya Bruns.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted husband of 44 years Isiah Hadnott; eight children, Angela (Marcus) Woods, Marcus Griggs, Mario Griggs, Stephanie (Terry) Anderson, Rachelle Hadnott, Isiah Hadnott, Oshelanda Mitchell, Arzaibriel Mitchell.

Also, to cherish her sweet memories, twenty-two grandchildren, nineteen greatgrandchildren, one sister Linda Drane, one brother Leroy Griggs, four brother in-laws James (Elizabeth) Hadnott, Steve (Dollie) Williams, Jackie (Cheryl) Williams, Willie Anderson; one sister-in-law Dorothy Ann Powell, a devoted friend Helen Cargill and a host of other relatives and friends.
