Alonzo (Buck) Ashley

Alonzo " Buck" Asley was born May 7, 1955 in Millbrook, AL to the late Daisy Mae McGhee and Johnnie McGhee Sr. and the late Hillard Crowell, Sr.. He departed this life on September 28, 2021 at his home.

Alonzo was preceded in death by hus parents Johnnie and Daisy McGhee and Hillard Crowell, Sr.; Two Brothers Hillard Crowell, Jr. and Danny Crowell; and one sister: Beverly Crowell.

Alonzo joined Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church where he remained a faithful member until his death. he was Chairman of the Trustee Board, a member of the Male Chorus and BASS Choir.

He leaves to cherish his many memories, and will be greatly missed by his wife Bettie Ashley of 32 years; Son: Alonzo Ashley, Jr.; Daughters: Andrell (Jimmy) Kilgore and Chevelle DeRamus; Brothers: Johnnie McGhee, Jr., Gregory (Kim) Crowell, and Demetrius (D'ette) Crowell; Sisters: Lela (Willie) Lawrence, Priscilla (James) Johnson, Vickie McGhee, Dona (Milton) Hartwell, Leola (Gregory) Murphy, Cora Durham, Linda Crowell, Anita Crowell, Juanita Crowell, and Stacey Crowell; Brother-n-law: Marzette; Sister-n-laws: Elizabeth, Teresa and Debra; Grandchildren: Javarris, Destinee', Jessica, Ki'ara, Jeremiah, and Janell; Great- grandkids: Braylen and Brendyn; a close friend Bernard Underwood and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends.
