Barbara Tyner Obituary

Barbara Hunter-Tyner was born November 28, 1969.  She was the eldest of three children born to the union of Calvin Hunter and Carolyn D. Morrast.

Barbara accepted Christ as her Lord and savior at a young age at Old Kingston Missionary Baptist Church., Prattville, AL and later joined Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.  She  was educated in Autauga County public school and graduated from Prattville High School in 1988.

She later took college courses from Alabama State University and received certification from H. Council Trenholm State Technical College.

During her youth, she enjoyed reading, watching Black and White movies.  She loved to dance and was very fashionable.

She also loved being apart of Prattville High School Band as a Flag Ette, drummer, and playing the clarinet.

In 1966, she married James Tyner.  The couple then relocated to Fort Hood, Tx.  Then later she relocated to Smyrna, GA working for the State of Georgia as a Child Support Enforcer in 2010, after she relocated back to Alabama due to illness.

Throughout her battle, over the years with her illness, she always trusted in the Lord and never lost her faith.

She endured more than many could ever handle.  Her greatest wish is for her child (Jasmine) and grandchild (Alecia) to understand that she left them for a better place.

She was an exceptional mother and outstanding grandmother.
