Oh, how the angels rejoiced on July 17, 1936 when Betty Ann Murphy Parker was born in Verbena, Alabama to her beautiful parents, William and Margarette Pettway (with God). She was raised in Mobile, Alabama where she graduated from Dunbar High School. She would often visit her Grandmother Cora Gill, in Verbena and Aunt Minnie Tyus, in Prattville where she was introduced to and later married her husband, Eddie Louis Parker, Sr. (with God). Under this nuptial, life was given to four children: Betty "Pumpkin" Parker, Eddie "Bubba" Parker, Jr., Edna Y. George and Una Parker. Two grandchildren: Tanzania (with God) and Calonnika George; Prattville, AL. One brother: Oliver (Betty) Murphy, Mobile, AL. She later joined her husband's church, Ward Chapel AME where she remained a faithful member, even after his death on March 12, 1972. After much prayer, in 1991, Betty Ann decided to join First Baptist Church, Prattville, where she served as a missionary and culinary specialist, Betty Ann loved Jesus Christ; He truly was the core of her soul and reflects a Portrait of a Godly Woman, Proverbs 31. She is family oriented and firmly believes in pursuing one's dreams.
LEISURE ACTIVITIES:
Talking with Gertrude "Gert" Moore and Gussie Stoudemire [until their earthly departure]
Planting flowers and gardening Hair, jewelry, and clothes, Laughing and visiting with friends on the porch, When the youth and seniors would stop by and say hello or to check in on her.

HOBBIES AND ENJOYMENTS: Cooking, Mentoring, Baking, Sewing, Laughing with Friend on the porch, Encourager, Reading the Bible, Listening to Gospels Hymns, Hugging on grandchildren, and Funding Higher Education.
