Callie Pearl Smith was born to the late Mr. Howard and Essie Mae Rogers on August 13, 1948. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, December 23, 2021.
She received Christ at an early age and joined Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Harris. She met and married the late Mr. Willie Lee Smith. To this union six children were born.
She was employed with the city of Prattville as a School Patrol Officer for 18 years, until she retired. She had a passion for cooking, baking, and crafting of bows and flowers. She was a loving, devoted and caring mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Smith, Sr.; her children: Essie Luchelle, Essie Machelle, and Rickey Smith; her brothers, Jeffery Davis, Howard and Bernard Rogers; granddaughter, LaKoya Brown; and great grandson, Bryson Zeigler.
She leaves to cherish sweet memories: her sons, Willie Smith, Jr. and Stephen Smith (Olivia), both of Prattville, AL; her daughter, Felita Scott (Willie) of Deatsville, AL; Her grandchildren: Kotre' Anderson (Shekenia), Cordrick, Na'Tandrea, Ahnjaylice, Kadijah, Jakeala, Cincrista, Alex, Derrius, Kychae, and DeAndre; great grandchildren: SheKoria, Peyton, DeKota, Jordan, Kotre' Jr., Cordrick Jr., Braleigh, Tymello, Skylar, Charlie Jr. and Jaxon; her sisters: Christine (Eddie) Richards, Vanessa (Patrick) Grant, Chandrika (Patrick) Smith; her brothers: Bobby Rogers, Ronnie Rogers, Tommy Davis and Ned (Elizabeth) Davis; brother-in-law, Walter (Dorothy) Smith; sister-in-law, Gaynell Brown and Peggy Rogers, both of Prattville, AL; three goddaughters: Jasmine Rawlinson, Roxcell Williams and Okeala Martin; four god-sisters: Stacy Richard, Shadale Johnson, Janice Richard, and Andrea Mitchell; one god-brother, Tracy Richard; three loving and devoted nieces: Carla McCullough, Rita Richards and Avery Wilson; four special friends: Cindy Jones, Leanna Daniels, Dot Leman and Shonda Moten; a devoted cousin, Virginia Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
