Carletta Ann (Henderson) Chamblin

Carletta Ann Henderson Chamblin was born on September 7, 1946 to the late Bowman Henderson and Ruby Mae Bowman Henderson. She was the second eldest of six children. She was preceded in death by Bowman, Jr., Jeffery and Jacqueline Henderson.

She accepted Christ at an early age  and was a member of New Mt. Zion A.M.E Church in Prattville, AL and attended One Zion United in Birmingham, AL where she resided.

After Graduation from North Highland High School class of 1964, her work career began at Fife  Restaurant and a host of other jobs including her most memorable being an Area Manager for Hickory Farms in the Birmingham and Atlanta areas. ending her forty (40) plus year work career at Birmingham Race Course.

She leaves to mourn a Son: James Chamblin of Austin, TX; Brother: Ernest Henderson of Prattville, AL; Sister: Gail Henderson of Birmingham, AL; Four Grandchildren: Aundris, Adrian,(Deceased) Felicity, and C'yanna Chamblin; Three Great Grandchildren: Elijah (13), Amyha (12) and Levi Draine (9) of Taylor, TX;Two Neice's: Valerie Henderson and Quolittia Henderson; One Nephew: Demarcus Henderson; One Great Nephew: Caleste Smith all of Birmingham, Alabama; Three Life long friends: Shirley Simmons, Elaine Lucas, and Klara Knomo and a host of cousins and friends.
