Christopher Earl Smith was born November 1, 1962, the youngest of three siblings to the late Willie M. Smith and Juanita Smith in Detroit, Michigan.
He accepted Jesus Christ as a personal Savior at an early age at Fourth Street Presbyterian Church in Detroit, Michigan.
He attended Stark Elementary and was a graduate of South Eastern High School. He enlisted into the United States Marine Corp in 1980 where he wholeheartedly served his country. He received an honorable discharge in 1984; he then moved to Compton, California, and started working for Temporary Agencies such as Long Beach Transit driving buses, Brinks as a driver. Later, he worked for the City of Long Beach as a Sanitation Engineer for over twenty-one years and eventually retired in 2018. He and his fiancé' Carol decided to relocate to Clanton, Alabama in 2019 and built a home on his grandmother's land.
"Chris" as he was affectionately called; He was a very loving and generous Man. He enjoyed baseball, football, basketball, and music.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, one brother, Duane Smith; grandfather, Willie Smith; two grandmothers, Georgia Lee Gill and Asilee De'Ramus; two uncles, James Kendrick and William "Earl" Kendrick; and one bonus son, Davontae Harvey.
He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories: one son, Giovanni Ramou, of California; three grandchildren, a devoted and loving Fiancé', Carol Lane, of Clanton, AL; one caring sister, Sabrinia Smith, of Detroit, MI; two nieces, Bianca (Dean) Evans, of Detroit, MI; and Loris Dennis; one nephew, Dajuan Smith, Sr.; four great nieces, Victoria, Alexi, Elnora, and Desirey, all of Detroit, MI; three great nephews, Cameron and Donnie, both of Detroit, MI; and Dajuan Jr.; three bonus children Myiesha King, of Clanton, AL; Kennitra Riley and Nortavia Green, both of Long Beach, CA; a devoted cousin, James Suller, of Canton, OH; and a host of other relatives and friends.
