Debra La Chelle (Holmes) Dupree

Debra La Chelle Dupree was born in Detroit Michigan on January 12th 1959 to Edward B. Howard and Pinkie A. Whetstone.  She departed this life on Monday, July 13th, 2020 in Bronx, NY to be with our Lord.  

Debra was reared the first five years of her life by her grandmother Pinkie M. Patterson Whetstone whom she loved.

She was married to James C. Dupree and from this union one son was born, David James Dupree.

She attended public school in Manhattan and Bronx, New York.  She also attended New York University.  She successfully raised her son who is a devoted educator.  She was a business professional who has worked in the corporate world in various industries, including advertising, international, oil and gas, financial, insurance, health care and enjoyed interior decorating in her spare time.  She was  a loving trusting daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt and niece.  She also was an excellent cook who had just written a cook book.

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Pinkie A. Holmes, Father, Sherman T. Holmes, Jr. one son David James Dupree (Anais), one beloved granddaughter Emma Isabela Dupree who she adored, three sisters, Sophie Dawn Braxton (Lionel) Rachel E. Holmes, and Sandra D. Holmes, one Brother Jean Policard (Nicola) one nephew Kyle Gavyn MacDonald, one brother who proceeded her in death Charles Ransom two aunts Ruth Teal (James) and Mary Moton (Henry) one uncle Richard Whetstone and one special cousin Timothy G. Whetstone and many relatives and friends.
