Dorothy Jean Davis Durden was born April 14, 1959, in Autaugaville, AL to Emma Davis and Dan Griffin.

Early in life she confessed her love for Christ and joined the Big Springs Baptist Church.

She gained her eternal wings on June 19, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center South surrounded by family.

She was preceded in death by her Son; Edgar Dewayne Davis; Parents; Emma Davis and Dan Griffin, Sisters; Lugenia Johnson; Pearlie Mae Simpson, Jo Ann Tyus Julia Killingworth; and Mary Fortenberry; Brothers; Freddie Davis, Jr.; Tom Davis; Henry Davis, Joe Davis and David Ariick.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted husband, Edgar James Durden (Prattville, AL); a devoted son; Gary (Tiffany) Davis (Prattville, AL); Grandchildren; TeAsia and Jaylyn Davis (Prattville, AL) and Madison Davis (Montgomery, AL); sisters; Linda (Ray) Champion (Orrville, AL); Annie Persons (Selma, AL) and Lula Barnes (Detroit, MI), Willie (Sadie) Davis; (Autaugaville, AL); sisters-in-law: Odesta Davis; Cheryl (Willie) Lamar and Laura Craion; aunt: Mary (Bernard) Perry, Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends,
