Dorothy Jean (Edwards) White

Mrs. Dorothy Jean (Edwards) White was born in Prattville, Alabama to the late Mr. Aaron Lewis and Alberta Edwards, both preceded her in death.  Early Monday morning, March 2, 2020, she transitioned peacefully at her daughter's home in Montgomery, Alabama. Lovingly known as "Dot", she never met a stranger.   Everyone was drawn by her smile, enthusiastic love of life and laughter.  She will be remembered for many things: her generous spirit, open heart, her amazing courage, the love that she exhibited to all, especially the love she had for her family.  She was preceded also in death by her brother Elgin Edwards, sister Nancy Edwards Sanders and a special cousin, Gale Washington.  

She leaves to cherish her memories a husband, Cedric White (Prattville, Alabama); one loving and devoted Son, Sammy Lewis (Prattville, Alabama); four beautiful and loving Daughters; Steffi Edwards (Stanley), Prattville, Alabama, Phyllis Edwards, LaTonya Edwards and Brittany Stoudemire all of Montgomery, Alabama.  She also leaves three loving Brothers, Donald Lucas (Annie) of Clanton, Alabama, Aaron  Edwards (Beverly) and Harry Lewis both of Prattville, Alabama and one loving big sister, Brozell Reese of Decatur, Alabama; Sister-in-law, Terella  Edwards of Prattville, Alabama; two Aunts: Hattie DeRamus and Mattie Thomas both of Prattville, Alabama.  Dorothy's memories will be forever cherished by her fifteen beautiful grandchildren, who were the absolute loves of her life; one special cousin, Mattie Bell Thomas of Prattville, Alabama.  Three Special friends; Brenda Daniel Warren, Bettye Williams and Patricia Nixon all of Prattville, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
