Earnest Henderson was born on April 29, 1939, the second of 6 children to Fair and Selena Henderson. His parents, his brothers Ed Henderson, Ollis Henderson, Henderson, and his grandson Darrell Nash preceded him in death.
Earnest accepted Christ at an early age and joined Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a trustee for many years. He was a faithful member until he was no longer to his failing health.
He was drafted into the United States Army in 1963 at the age of 23, where he served honorably for two years until he was discharged. He was then employed by Farm Best, which was later renamed to Flav-O-Rich. He worked at the company for over 25 years.
He loved his family, his community, and baseball. He played catcher for many years on the Friendship Community Baseball Team. He was known throughout for his willingness to help and assist others in the community.
Earnest leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Ercile Robinson Henderson of 51 years. His ten children Erica (Darrick) Dunn of Houston, TX, Lora (Keith) Baker of Montgomery, AL Stacie Henderson of Montgomery, AL, Keith (Latasha) Henderson, of Tampa FL and Tralise (Kenyatta) Howard, of Prattville, AL, Earnest (Lisa) Trammer of Alexander City, AL, Carolyn Trammer of Autaugaville, AL, Michael (Cassandra) Trammer of Pike Rd, AL Blake Trammer (Pamela) of Montgomery, AL, and Fabian (Keisha) Parker, of Prattville, AL. He also leaves behind fifteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two sisters, Ada Henry of Washington, DC, and Percy (James) Dixon of Brandywine, MD, a sister-in-law Bettye Henderson of Prattville, AL, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
