Mrs. Effie Moore a resident of Prattville, Alabama passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017. Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 3pm from Bethlehem CME Church, 103 West 6th Street Prattville, Alabama with Rev. Sam H. Gordon lll, Pastor, and Rev. Shirley A. Cobb officiating. Burial to follow at Pink Lily Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Prattville, Alabama. A(n) addidtional gathering will be held at davis Funeral Home on Wednesday May 24, 2017 at 6p.m.

Effie Lee Sager Moore was born on September 67, 5 3 85 to Albert Sager and Carrie (Judkins) Sager. She is survived by; two children, Dennis (Sterling, VA), Darren (Sterling, VA), brothers: John Sager (Prattville, AL) and Neal Sager (Prattville, AL). And a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Effie was preceded in death by father Rev. Albert Sager, mother Carrie Judkins Sager, sister Alice Sager Gibson, and brothers: James, Ocie, Albert Virgil, Nelson, Horace, and Louis Sager.
At an early age, she accepted our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ uniting with Bethlehem Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. On April 13, 1964, Effie and Rodney Leon Moore were joined in holy matrimony. They then were blessed with two sons named Dennis and Darren. She loved, cherished and supported her family. She gave her precious time, energy and money to support her family and her extended church family.
Effie cherished education. She graduated from North Highland High as class salutatorian. In furthering her education, she received a Bachelor of Science degree from Alabama State University with honors. In addition, she received her Master's Degree in Education from The University of Nebraska at Omaha with a 4.0 grade point average.
Effie started her professional life as a librarian at Central High School in Omaha, NE. She transferred into the classroom and served in the Omaha Public Schools for over 25 years. Upon the failing health of her mother Carrie Sager, Effie retired early and moved back to Prattville. She continued helping others by mentoring children at Bethlehem. She also worked at the Autauga County Board of Registrars.
She encouraged all around her to build themselves up and become the best person they could be. Effie was a kind and loving soul who cherished her family, friends, and God.
