Mrs. Fannie Mae Robinson age 88 a resident of Prattville, Alabama passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May, 18, 2019 at 12pm from Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 362 Walnut Street Prattville, Alabama with Rev. G. L. Townsend officiating. Burial to follow at Prattville Memory Gardens, 841 Fairview Ave Prattville, Alabama.
On July 23, 1930 in Anniston, Alabama, Will and Ora Lee Canada were blessed with a baby girl they named Fannie Mae. Fannie was the youngest of seven children, which all proceeded her in death.
In early 1946, she met and married the love of her life Willie L. Robinson, Sr. on July 29th. To this union, seven children were born. They joined Ward Chapel AME Church where Fannie served on the Steward Board, Stewardess Board, Senior Chior, President of the Senior Usher Board and Benevolence Committee for a number of years. She also attended Pleasant Hill AME Church where she assisted in organizing the Stewardess Board.
Fannie retired from Crystal Lake Broom Manufacturing, after retirement she worked part-time for Vinson Security. However, her greatest job and accomplishment was taking care of family. Shewas a Proverbs 31 woman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie L. Robinson Sr. and her two oldest sons, Ray AllenRobinson and Willie L. Robinson, Jr.
God called Fannie home on May 8th, 2019. Cherishing her life, love and memories is her devoted and loving family: two daughters; Floris R. Marrisett of Stone Mountain, GA and Portia D. Robinson of Marietta, GA. four sons; Vickie L. Robinson, Lynn F. Robinson, Felius W. Robinson, Clinton B. (Lasunta) Robinson all of Prattville, AL; Two grandchildrenshe raised as her own, Michael (Abby) Robinson of Las Vegas, NV and Stephanie (Brandon) Ealy, Duluth, GA; A special and devoted grandson Franklin "Pooh" Robinson of Prattville, AL. Two devoted and loving daughter-in-laws, Gloria (Ray) Robinson of San Antonio, TX and Lasunta (Clinton) of Prattville, AL. Twenty grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, four great great -great grandchildren, one brother-in-law; John (Thelma) Robinson of Prattville AL: A special and devoted niece, Felita Robinson of Prattville AL; a special adopted son; Paul "Too Tall" Daniels, a host of cousins, nieces and nephews and a daughter-in-law, Rosa (Willie) Robinson of Prattville AL.
