Mr. Felton McClain Davis, Jr. first born son of Felton McClain Davis, Sr. (deceased) and Mrs. Elizabeth Bishop Davis, was born January l, 1946 in Autauga County, Alabama.
At a very early age, he confessed to Christ and united with First Missionary Baptist Church Autaugaville Alabama. Faithfully he served as a Deacon, President of the Senior usher Board, Director of Transportation and Chairman of the Janitorial Ministry.
He attended Autauga County Training School. Mr. Davis was a certified Welder at Continental Eagle. He was a member of Autauga Lodge •960. Felton Jr. had a quick verbal response for everything, never took anything for fact UNTIL he could verify it first, but would share information to family via phone calls and/or drive-bys. By his father's example he learned to serve mankind and he did it graciously with his God given talents. He was a loving brother, father, husband, grandfather and great grandfather.
On Wednesday, March 16, 2022, he departed this life at his home in Autaugaville, Alabama. He was preceded in death by: son (Felton M. Davis Ill), father (Felton M. Davis Sr), maternal grandparents (Roosevelt and Edith Bishop), paternal grandparents (Tony and Hattie Davis), sister (Ruby Davis-Moten) and a brother (Robert Earl Davis).
His precious memories will be cherished by: his wife of thirty-five (35) years Elizabeth L. Davis; mother, Elizabeth B. Davis, both of Autaugaville, AL: three daughters; LaTonia L. Howard (Autaugaville, AL), Twanda Faye Brown and Trina L. Patterson (Columbus, GA): three granddaughters; Monica Lamar and Brandi Howard (Columbus, GA) and Brianna Howard (Autaugaville, AL), two great grandchildren; Legend Wilson and Jakai Haynes; four brothers, William Floyd (Vivian) Davis, Allen (Stephanie) Davis, Vincent S. (Linda) Davis, Sr. and Cedric (Portia) Golson; seven sisters, Monteen Stoudemire, Deloris Davis, Shirley Willis, Juliette (Gill) Smith, Jacqueline (Fred) Keith, Hattie Albright, Edith Clemons, Margaret (Jeffrey) Seabon (all Autaugaville, AL) and betty H. (Kenneth) Thomas (Tuscaloosa, AL): sisters and brothers-in-law, Jereline Lamar, Julene Lamar (deceased) both of Autaugaville, AL), Charlene Lamar (Highland Falls, NY), Cathy Lamar and Flora Pickett (bolt of Montgomery, AL), Louise Hardy (Lowndes County, AL), Luthenia Hall and Rosa (Shelby) Broadnax (Autaugaville, AL), Patricia Acoff (Selma, AL), Julia Mae Rudolph (deceased), William Lamar (deceased), Julius Lamar, Jr. (Chicago, IL) and John Henry Lamar (LA) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special recognition to: Hannah Jackson, Mark Buchanon, Gilbert Wilson, Mike Thomas and Emerson Moore.
