Harvey "Doc" McGhee Sr. was born May 12, 1949 to the late Deacon Willie James McGhee Sr. and the late Sister Annie McGhee in Elmore County, Alabama.
He confessed to Christ at an early age and united with Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, Millbrook, Alabama and was baptized by the late Reverend A.H. Longmire later joined a fellowship at Abraham Missionary Baptist Church, Millbrook, AL. Harvey "Doc" McGhee was educated in the Elmore County School System. He was a hardworking dedicated man who had a strong work ethic, he worked at Martin Merritta in Waugh, Alabama for 25 years, On December 30, 2021 God called him home to live his life eternally.
Harvey was proceeded in death by his Father Deacon Wille McGhee, Sr. and Sister Annie McGhee, Five Brothers Albert McGhee, Bobb McGhee, Willie James McGhee, Jr. Alonza McGhee, Charlie McGhee and John Willie McGhee.

Nine Grandchildren Courtney Mckenzie, Broderick Brown Sr., ShaQuille Brown, Donterrious Alexander, Harvey McKenzie, Xavier McGhee, ShaNiya Salter, Eric Salter Jr, and Makhya McGhee. Three Great Grand Children Ayanna Henderson, Broderick Brown Jr. and Malik Brown. A devoted Mother-in-law Sarah Brown, One Aunt Annie Mae McGhee, Four Sister-in-laws Sadie McGhee, Faye Alexander, Darlene Brown, Santana Brown, Three Brothers-in-laws Wilbert Brown, Matthew Brown, and Byron (Adrienne) Brown. A host of Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.
