Hazell Anderson Obituary

Deacon Hazell Anderson was born on June J, 1937 in Autauga County, AL to the late Carrie Lee and Robert Anderson Sr.

Hazell was united in holy matrimony to Clara K. Anderson on June 16, 1962. They were married for 52 years Until God called her to eternal rest in 2015. Through this union, they were blessed with four children.

On July 4, surrounded by his family, Hazell departed this life into the arms of the Lord. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Urslo; his son, Gary; two sisters, Lola and Julia and two brothers, Robert Jr. and Sam.

Hazell confessed his faith in Christ at an early age and joined Lily Hill Missionary Baptist Church as a servant of God. Hazell served as the Superintendent of Sunday School, a Sunday School Teacher, an usher, a maintenance man and was a member of the  Missionary Society. Hazell was one of the oldest members of the Deacon Board and proudly served until his death.

Hazell graduated in 1956 from North Highland High School. He was a proud member of the African Lodge #347 of Millbrook, AL for over sixty years. He served as the secretory of the lodge until they disassembled in 2020.

As a young child, his mother enrolled him in the A.S. and B.D. Society, where he remained a member into his adulthood. He served faithfully as its president for eleven years.
