Mother Jessie M. Harris was born September 19, 1930 to Mr. Moten Smith and Mrs. Rosie (Davis) Smith she had 16 brothers and sisters and she was a mother toone child and mothering to all.
Mother Jessie M. Harris was a matriach in so many areas from the church to our civil rights, she impacted us all in some big or small forms in our lives with her YAH giving gifts of teaching, counseling, ministering, love, truth and honest. She was indeed a state and county Mother of all at her home church father Son and Holy Ghost for more than 40 plus years.
Jessie Harris was proceded in death by her loving husband James E. Harris; One Child: Opal Lewis and Fifteen siblings.
Her wonderful, beautiful life will forever be in the memories of her family; One Brother: Willie H. )Maggie) Smith; Two Grandchildren: Nikita and Johnathan Lewis; One Son-in-law: Felix Lewis, Jr.; One Great Grandson: Demetrius Lewis;One devoted YAH daughter: Shemeka (Quintin) Peterson; special nephews: Joe Lewis and Mr. William; special nieces: Mrs. Bozeman and all her sisters; Wilma (Arcelia) Jackson. Special thanks to all the church members and other family and friends Deacon and Mrs. Carolyn Morgan, Sister Barbara (willie) Jackson, Sister Pierce, and many more too many to name, with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
