Jo Ann (Davis) Tyus

Jo Ann was born on July 27, 1960 to the late Emma Davis and Dan Griffin in Autaugaville, Alabama.  She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Big Springs Baptist Church.

Jo Ann was child number thirteen, going on to graduate from the Autauga County School System Class of 1978.

JoAnn was united with Elmer Tyus.  She has one step-daughter LaTasha Scott.  JoAnn made her transition into Eternal Life on Saturday, January 4, 2020.  She join those who have gone on before her.  Her mother and father Emma Davis and Dan Griffin: All of Grandparents; two sisters: Lugenia, and Pearlie Mae; five brothers: Fred, Tom, Henry, Dan, and Joe; Aunts, Uncles, and a host of other Family Members.

JoAnn leaves cherish memories to her Husband Elmer Tyus; step-daughter; LaTasha  Scott: six sisters; Lula of Kentucky; Julia and Mary both of Michigan; Dorothy (Edgar) Durden, Linda (Ray) Champion, and Annie Marie Persons all of Alabama; two brothers; David, Willie (Sadie) Davis of Alabama; One Aunt; Mary (Bernard) Perry of Alabama:: three sister-in-laws; Lillian Davis, Jacqueline Davis, and Odesta Davis all of Alabama; and a host of nieces, Nephews, Cousin and Friends.
