Mr. Joe Louis Frazier known as "Salem" was born to the late Mr. Sam and Mrs. Lucy B. Frazier on March 1, 1944 in Autauga County , AL. He departed this life on Sunday, April 5, 2020.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church in Autaugaville, AL under the pastoralship of Reverend T. O. Cooper. Joe enjoyed going to church, his faith in God, belief and love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ made him proud to be a Christian.
He was employed as a "Farmer" for Neighbor's Farm in Autaugaville, AL for 47 years. He worked for Mrs. and Mrs. J. B. Neighbor's and Mr. and Mrs. Billy and Janet N. Gilmore families who gave him admiration for a job well done.
Joe was preceded in death by three brothers: Samuel Frazier, Jr. (Birmingham, AL), Amos Frazier (Chattanooga, TN), and Leon Frazier (Detroit, MI); five sisters: Mary Ida Wimbush (Birmingham, AL), Beulah Lee Houser (Birmingham, AL), Rosetta Frazier (Autaugaville, AL), Mamie (M.C.) Lee Frazier Strickland (Chattanooga, TN), and Prevella Chappell (Autaugaville, AL); one sister-in-law: Ethel K. Thompson Frazier (Chattanooga, TN).
He leaves to cherish his memories: devoted and caring sister: Voncile Frazier (Autaugaville, AL); loving and devoted niece: Tammy J. (Grailen) Motley; six nephews: Clarence Chappell II (Autaugaville, AL), Wiley (Sheila) Chappell (Prattville, AL), Dale (Demetrius) Chappell (Montgomery, AL), Keith (Jewell) Chappell (Autaugaville, AL), Macker Strickland (Chattanooga, TN), and Juan Frazier (Chattanooga, TN) FBI Agent; a host of nieces and nephews. Two devoted cousins: Velma Broadnax (Autaugaville, AL) and Reverend Joyce Whetstone (Holyoke, MA).
