John Hill, Jr. was born May 12, 1940, in Chicago, IL., to the late Dorothy and John Thomas Hill, Sr. Two children were born to this union. On the morning of January 29, 2022, the angel of silence came into the Hill family, and with chilly fingers, sealed the lips of John Hill, Jr. His soul winged its flight from this word of sin, sorrow and pain to a place of eternal rest. John will forever be remembered for his kind and generous heart. He was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Hanks and his beloved daughter, Charesse Hill.
John attended and I graduated from Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in Blue Island, IL. He later attended Thornton Community College in South Holland, IL., where he received his electrician technician education.
John had an extensive work history, which includes employment with Wyman and Gordon Steel, Ingalls Memorial Hospital and Kroch’s and Brentano’s bookstore. His last position was with Chicago Transit Authority, where he remained Until he retired in 2013.
He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved and devoted wife, Sandra N. Hill, One Son John (Sandra) Hill of Prattville, AL, one bonus daughter, Stephanie (Terry) Anderson of Mobile, AL, one devoted sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Holifield, one granddaughter, Jazlynn (Andre) Russell. one special granddaughter, Keyanna Brown, four bonus grandchildren, Kandyss (Darrius) Poellnitz, Clinton Hall, Bianca (Marcus) Williams, and Kiersten Hall and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
