Mr. Kendall Wayne Cyrus was born March 12, 1970, to George Cyrus, Sr, and Barbara Jemison-Cyrus. He was the third child born to this union.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined New Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, Prattville, Alabama.
He graduated from Prattville High School in 1989. He joined the United States Navy, Seamans Apprentice, on the USS Cape Cod, February 11, 1992.
Before separation in 1996, as a E7, he made many accomplishments, to include a National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, two Navy ‘E’ Ribbons, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Southwest Asia Service Medal, and a Bronze Star.
He leaves to cherish his memories parents, George Cyrus, Sr., and Barbara Cyrus, brothers; George Cyrus, Jr. (Ann) and Derrick Thomas Sr. (Cassandra) sisters; Lenise Cyrus Wright-Stanton (Arthur), Barbie Cyrus-James (Michael), Tamela Morgan (Jack) and Stephanie Wright, nieces, and nephews; Whitney Jackson Price, Darius Cyrus, Derrick Thomas Jr., Zachery Thomas, Jarvis Smith, Terrance Smith, DeAundre Cyrus, Malcolm Cyrus, and Aaliyah Cyrus. Friend Carmen Kennedy (La Quentin, Howard, and Xavier). And a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
