Mr. Kennya J Harmon (DJ Maine) graced this world with his presence July 29, 1975, born to Willie James Smith and the late Cynthia Waldroup. He joined Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and was a faithful member until his death.
Kennya spent his childhood in Chicago, Illinois and later moving to Alabama where he completed his GED and then went on to achieve his Degree in HVAC from Fortis College. Throughout Kennya's life he met many people and found enjoyment DJing and being able to Rock the House. He had a thrill riding his motorcycle and a passion to live life and always kept a smile on his face, no matter the situation. He found purpose and fulfillment through his family and friends, especially his children and grandchildren. Kennya's impactful presence will be missed.
He is preceded by death by his mother Cynthia Waldroup, 1 brother Eugene D Gilliam, 2 Grandmothers Hattie Pearl Harmon and Annie Pearl Smith; 2 Grandfathers: Taylor McKeitham and James Edward Smith.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories with his wife of 18 years Latanya B Harmon, 8 children: Rashaud Waldroup ( Louisville, KY), Christopher Waldroup (Tallassee, AL), Nyiah Walker (Houston, TX), Kenjay Harmon (St. Louis, Missouri), Jamila and Tamila Sanders (Montgomery, AL); Lakenya Harmon (Troy, AL), and Carmelo Harmon (Prattville, AL); 2 Sisters: Charlotte (James)Willis (Autaugaville , AL) and Rasharee Pickett (Prattville, AL); 1 Mother-in-law Deloris Boyd, 1Stepfather-Hulbert Waldroup Sr., Uncles-Calvin (Ada) Harmon, Taylor III (Cassandra) McKeithen, Anthony McKeithen all of Birmingham, AL, Marvin (Emma) Rudolph (Millbrook, AL), and Willie (Mary) Motley (Prattville, AL); (Boston, MA); 2 sisters -in-laws: Tammy Davis and Demetria Boyd (Montgomery, AL); 7 grandchildren, 6 nieces, 2 nephews, a host of cousins, family and friends.
