Larrie Darnell King Sr. was born on July 19, 1956, to Ruthie Mae Whetstone Nixon and Freeman Jones in Autaugaville, Alabama. He departed this life on September 24, 2022, at his home. Larrie accepted Christ at an early age and joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
Larrie was educated in the Autauga County public school system. He worked at Wendland Farms for many years and continued to work in farming until his death. He was affectionately known as the "Magic Man on a tractor." He enjoyed fishing, music, and enjoying life with friends and family.
He was proceeded in death by his mother, Ruthie Mae Whetstone; father, Freeman Jones; stepfather Samuel Nixon Jr., and brother Harold Craves. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Barbara J. King; his children Sherry K. Moore, Charlene White (Henry), Larrie King Jr (Keyana)., Virginia Watts (Quinton); four sisters, Shirley brown (Elliott), Jacqueline (Fredrick) Perkins, Sandra (Jaquice) Folks, Jeanette (Nathaniel) Hines; fourteen brothers, Charles Whetstone (Angela), Steven Whetstone, Alexander Whetstone (Lois), DeRay Whetstone (Barbara), Eric Whetstone, Jerome Whetstone (Chrystal), Tony Whetstone, Terry Whetstone, Lorenza Jackson (Pam), Jimmy Nixon (Brenda), Timmy Nixon (Carolyn), Terry Nixon, Jermaine Nixon, Ricky Howard, three brothers-in-law Lugene Parker (Jean), Elijah Parker (Jackie), Daniel Thomas (Jackie); mother in law, Essie Mae Parker; three sisters-in-law Evelyn Parker, Loretta Parker, Lottie (Lee Anders) Parker; one aunt Maldoshia King; 15 grandchildren Regginia S., William F., Destin K., Mariah F., Zetarrius F., Mariah F., Kaliph K., Reginald S. Jr., Kyla R., Javori M., Paris S., Kadin D., Chelsi M., Xavier K., Asia K.; 5 great-grandchildren Zeki F., Aubri K., Zy'Mir F., Zamari F., Cartier F., a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
