Larry Thomas, Sr.

Larry Thomas Sr. was born on March 9, 1951 to the late Anderson, Sr.  and Ada Mae Thomas. He grew up in Prattville. He resided in Prattville, AL and attended church at Lilly Hill Baptist Church where he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior. He accepted his calling as a deacon at Lily Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Donnie Williams.

He attended North Highland School in Prattville, AL. Larry Thomas,Sr. devoted 13 years to the City of Prattville Wastewater Plant from 2006- 2019. He was serving as a Senior Deacon at New Vision Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Raymond Thomas until his passing.

Deacon Larry Thomas, Sr. was preceded in death by his Daughter: Gwendolyn Davis; Brothers: Bishop Raymond Thomas, Henry Thomas, and Algia Thomas;Sisters: Bertha Fitzpatrick, Ida Mae Washington, and Dorothy Richardson.

he leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife of 50 years: Susie Mae Thomas; His devoted children: Larry (Shenta) Thomas, Majorie (Clemon) Motley, Adrian (YaKeshia) Thomas, and Quandala Denise Walker; Siblings: Anderson Thomas, Jr., Horace Thomas, Alphonsa (Erika) Thomas, David (Kay) Thomas, Jessie Fair, Pastor Roberta Minor, Shirley (Stashia) McGhee and Vicki (Clyde) Howard; in-laws:Clarence Washington, John Richardson, Linda Thomas, Wincie Thomas, Jeanette Thomas; twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, God- Son: Derrick Hardy, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and church families.
