Lee G Howard Sr departed his life Wednesday July 12, 2023 at Baptist South Montgomery, AL.
He was preceded in death by his father Willie L. Howard Sr, Mother Nettie B. Howard, and sisters Sylvia Kimbrough and Willie Mae Howard.
Lee G Howard Sr attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Wimess and later in his life he became a Jehovah Witness.
LeeG “Chef Lee” met and was united in Holy Matrimony to his high school sweetheart and best friend Matilda Johnson in 1975. Together they were blessed with six children; Anthony L. Johnson (Huntsville), Renata Howard (Terry) Smith (Autaugaville), Latoya Howard (Micheal) Lee (Huntsville), Michelle Howard (Autaugaville), Lee G. Howard, Jr. (Birmingham) and Micheal (Lakeshia) Howard (Huntsville).
Lee G " Chef Lee" started his own business by catering to the International Paper on Thursdays and Fridays from his home. From there he partnered with a few friends and opened up a location in Autaugaville, AL. In September of 2006, he branched out on his own and opened "Chef Lee’s Restaurant" in Autaugaville, AL. His restaurant served the community with amazing food, great customer service and wholesome fellowship for over 15 years.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: Four brothers L.C (Mary) Howard, Willie L Howard Jr, Sylvester (Barbara) Howard, James (Karen) Howard and one sister Carrie Bell Belvinso Seventeen grandchildren, Kiera Motley, Keshay Steele, Kamron Johnson, Jasierelle Johnson, Anthony Johnson Jr, Toni Johnson, Ariyah Johnson, Amir Johnson, Amarie Johnson, Ja'Naisha Johnson, Michael (CJ) Lee, Kayla Lee, Melody Howard, Michael (MJ) Howard Jr and one great grandchild. And a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, great nephews, and great nieces. Also his friends and customers
