Leo Motley Obituary

Mr. Leo Motley  68  of  Boston, Massachusetts passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Marlboro Hospital in Marlboro, Massachusetts.  He was born in Prattville, Alabama and was the son of the late Arthur and Callie (Debardelaben) Motley, sr.

He accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church Prattville, Alabama.  He was raised and educated in Prattville, Alabama and later moved to Massachusetts where he finished his education at Dorchester High school in Dorchester, Massachusetts.  He has been a resident of Boston, Massachusetts for the past 50 years.  He worked for Verizon as an Equipment  Installer and  Trainer for 40 years, where he  retired.  He liked spending time with his family, traveling, music and was an advocate fan of all sports.

He was preceded in death by his Grandson, Desmond Tyrell Davis; three Brothers, Benjamin Motley, Sr., James Arthur Motley, Jr. and Grant Motley; four Sisters, Juanita Wilson, Lorene Wilson, Ruby Jackson and Bessie Underwood.

He leaves to cherish his memories, A wife, Shelly Motley and a Daughters, Genava La Trell of Prattville, Alabama, Marlana Jones, Boston, Massachusetts and Jacqueline Bennett, Tennessee; three Grandchildren, Kayla, Vrqatice and Marion, all of Tennessee; three sisters, Louise motley, Prattville, Alabama, Betty Bacon and Bertha Miller both of Boston, Massachusetts; three Brother-in-laws, Norman (Joann) Lewis, Dorchester, Massachusetts, Richard Tyus and Steven (Carolyn) Jones of Prattville, Alabama; A host of Nieces, Nephews and  other Relatives, friends and Special Friends Deacon Harvey and Prevella Motley.
