Lola (Anderson) Wood

The Late Mrs. Lola Mae Anderson Wood, was born August 4, 1935, to the late Mr. Robert and Carrie Lee Turner Anderson. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Lily Hill Baptist Church.

LOLA lived in LaGrange for a number of years. After returning home, she rejoined the Lily Hill Missionary Baptist Church. There she served in the choir and in the Autauga County Choral Ensemble, later she served as Church Mother.

LOLA married Charles Henry Wood in 1987 . They enjoyed their life together until he was called home on November 25, 1991.

   LOLA was surrounded by her extensive family where she doted out her gentle love and generosity until she transitioned from this life.

    Preceding Lola in death, were her parents: Robert and Carrie; two sisters: Sarah and Julia; two brothers: Robert Jr. and Sam; One daughter: Edna.

She leaves to cherish her loving and generous memories:5 daughters: Annie Williams, and Cheryl (Lance) Robinson of Prattville, Al;Debra Armstrong of McKeesport, Pa, Zola (Willie B) Bassett, Lowdnes County., Angie Houser; 4 sons: Gregory (Patricia) Anderson, Henry Armstrong, Anthony (Shonda) Armstrong, Maurice Armstrong; 2 very Special granddaughters Daja Armstrong and Shacora Franklin ; 5 sisters: Carrie Miles of Birmingham, AL, Tanner Smith (Mose) Smith of Millbrook, AL, Rosetta Anderson, Pearlie Morgan and Brenda (John) Lawrence of Prattville, AL; 4 brothers: Hazell Anderson, Jerome (Gail) Anderson, Nathaniel (Jackie) Anderson of Prattville, AL, John (Dorothy) Anderson of Montgomery, AL.; I Aunt: Louise Turner of Detroit, MI; A special niece Gaynell Brown; 33 grandchildren:; 83 great grandchildren: 14 great great grandchildren. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends
