Marsha Linda McCants was born in Montgomery, AL on November 15, 1990, to Pamela and Rufus McCants. She grew up to be a loving, caring, and kind daughter, niece, sister, and friend. However, above anything else, Marsha was blessed to be the mother of four beautiful children. Marsha, at the age of 30, and her three youngest children unexpectedly departed this life on Monday, February 22, 2021.
Marsha confessed Christ at an early age. She was born, reared, and maintained life-long membership at Ephod Family Worship Center, under the leadership of her Godmother and name sake, Apostle Dr. M.L. Brown.
Marsha knew and loved everyone she met. She would have helped anyone in time of need. She never met a stranger and had a heart of gold. Whether it was giving someone a ride, a place to stay, or just hang for a few, she was always willing to help. She was known as " Ms. Cautious", for her love of music and rap. Many may not know but Marsha had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. One of her favorite songs was Love by Kirk Franklin and Family.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Hattie Mae; great-grandmother, Carrie Johnson; two great uncles, and three great aunties.
Those who knew and loved her will forever cherish Marsha's memory. She is survived by her son, Bryant T. James, Jr.; parents, Pamela McCants and Rufus (Shawn) McCants; grandmother, Gloria Washington; siblings, Candace Johnson, Michael Johnson, Gabrielle McCants, Dartavious McCants, Theresa (Vorris) Berry, and Stephen McCants; her aunts and uncles, Darren (Margaret) Johnson, William Porter, Rhonda (Edward) Patterson, and Nicholas Washington; and a host of other relatives and friends.
