Mary Lee (Woods) Nunn

On Monday, July 6, 2020, Mary Lee Woods Nunn, loving wife, mother of four children, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, transitioned peacefully at her home at the age of 76. 

Mary Lee loved her family.  She enjoyed talking to her family and friends on the phone.  She was a very elegant and classy dresser.  She enjoyed shopping.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ocie and Magnolia Woods, her sister, Rose M. Hemingway, two brothers, James and Roy D. Woods.

She graduated from North Highland High School in 1962.  She worked at Prattville Nursing Home and the Autauga County Board of Education, where she retired in 2006.

She was a faithful member of Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church where she was a member of the Ella Taylor Senior Choir and on the Stewardess Board.

She leaves a family of love, a very devoted and caring husband of 57 years, Lonnie Nunn, Sr.; four children: Kim Nunn (Prattville, Alabama), Darren Nunn (Birmingham, Alabama), Valerie (Brian) Russell (Conyers, Georgia), Lonnie (Caresse) Nunn, Jr. (Prattville, Alabama); Stepdaughter: Christella (Willie T.) Sanders (Montgomery, Alabama); twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; two brothers: Robert (Denise) Morris and Ocie (Shirley) Wood, Jr.; six sisters: Ruby (Harold) Jones, Carolyn Betts, Margie Johnson, Gail (Joel) Talley, Teresa (Donald) Davis, and Fayetta Woods; nine sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
