Maurice Presley was born and raised in Prattville, Alabama on March 3,1936. Maurice enlisted into the United States Marines Corps at 17 years old and served in the Korean War, earning the following Medals: National Defense Service Metal, Korean Service Medal, and United Nations Service.
Upon discharge, moved to Cleveland, Ohio employed through US Postal Services where he met and married Patricia Presley and had two children (Maurice and Tracie). Mr. Maurice was Preceded in death by both parents.
Maurice loved his family and friends and among his favorite past times was fishing, gardening, hunting, and gift-giving back to his community. He was old -school, refusing the internet Smart Phones, and text messaging alike. If you wanted to speak with him, you had better call, or you'll never reach him.
Maurice Presley leaves to cherish his life and memory one son Maurice (Patrina) Presley II of Charlotte, NC, and one daugter, Tracie Presley, of Detroit, Michigan, two sisters, Avalyn Smith of New York, NY, and Debra Robi (Robert, Sr.) ten (10) Grandchildren; Breyana Presley and Chris Hardaway of Garfield Heights, OH, Keyana Presley of Silver Springs, MD, Jeremy Presley, Derriyana McGhee-Buchannon (Derrick), Johniesha Jacques, and Shakiyah Ford all of detroit, MI, Maurice III, Dominique Presley, Birmingham, AL, and Brandon (LaShonda) Presley of York, AL; Twent-two (22) great-grandchildren, Prattville Family, Cousins Keisha (Gus), and Zephlin, and friends Fred, Jessie, Lester, Rick, Petie-Wheatie, and a host of other cousins, nephews, nieces, friends and community who adored him.
