Moses Law Obituary

On December 21, 1970 in Montgomery County, a special bundle of joy was born. He was introduced to all as Moses Edward Law, Jr., the seventh child of the late Deacon Moses Edward Law, Sr., and the late Alfreda Price Law. Immediately following his birth, his affectionate and prize-winning smile earned him the nickname, "Lil' Mose." Moses loved the Lord. He confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Canaan Hill Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama where he grew closer to Christ. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1990 and later married Sonya Williams whom he met in Study Hall, and to that union, three adorable boys were born.

Moses valued the true meaning of being a "man" and was not afraid of responsibility or work. Over the years, he was employed at various tile and roofing companies, the Hyundai Automotive Company, and the Montgomery Water Works & Sewer Board. Later in his life he pursued and focused on his passion and used the Masonry skills he learned from his father at an early age. His wisdom in home improvement ranged vastly from interior and exterior home remodeling projects to plumbing. He made to several homes in the Montgomery area. Lil' Mose was also known for his versed mechanical expertise. His primary focus was always making sure that the needs of his family were met. He worked tirelessly, striving to build a legacy of experiences.

Amongst many other things, Moses deeply cherished cooking for his family. He took great pride in preparing meals for his mother for five years before her passing. For many, it was his "Hog Gone Good Barbeque" that made us come back for more during special holidays. He made boundless impressions and impacted the lives of many people in the West End Neighborhood and afar to include Ms. Johnson, Dr. Shirley Lanier Barnes, Harmony Baptist Church (Autauga Co.), family and friends.

God called Moses home on Friday, March 25, 2022 to join several of his loved ones who preceded him in death. Standing at the welcoming gate were his beloved parents, the late Deacon Moses Edward Law, Sr. and our beautiful Angel, the late Alfreda Law; his eldest brother, Gregory Ferland Law (PeeWee), and '"our Boxing Champ", Patrick Fitzgerald Law. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Sonya Law; three sons: Moses  Edward Law, Ill (Atlanta, GA), Cedric Lamar Law and Jermaine Edward Law (Montgomery, AL); One grandson, Cedric Lamar Law, Jr.; a caring Mother-n-law, Mrs. Mary Williams (Montgomery, AL); a caring and loyal sister, Chantela (Gregory) Coleman of Montgomery, AL; four unwavering brothers, Stanley Law, Devik (Charlotte) Law of Montgomery, AL; Phillip (Brenda) Law of Columbus, GA, and Pedro (Cecilia) Law of  Pike Road, AL; five nieces, seven nephews and a host of great nieces, great nephews, 'cousins and friends.
